NACDA and its affiliates are the professional & educational associations for more than 15,700 college athletics administrators at more than 1,700 institutions. It serves as the professional association for those in the field of athletics administration, providing educational opportunities and serves as a vehicle for networking and the exchange of information to others in the profession.
The official publication of the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics, Athletics Administration is circulated four times annually to all two- and four-year colleges and universities in both in the United States and Canada. It is written primarily by NACDA members for NACDA members.
Athletics Administration reaches each institution's athletics department, from the athletics director to the marketing director to the sports information director to the equipment manager to the various head coaches in both the men's and women's arena. It focuses on athletics facilities, new ideas in promotions, marketing and development, legal ramifications and other current issues in collegiate athletics administration.
Held in June, the Annual Convention is devoted to examining contemporary issues facing today's athletics administrator. One of six annual events hosted by NACDA, the Convention caters to administrators in all levels of intercollegiate athletics with general sessions for the entire membership and breakout sessions which are geared to the specific needs of administrators in different areas of the athletics department.
